Identity Verification

After successful phone number verification, the app might display a set of security questions to perform an identity verification check. This happens only if required, as a part of the Identity Verification process.

The Identity verification module is implemented by using a third party vendor, IDology. The personal information and address details that you provided are sent to the IDology service provider. IDology then matches your details with the information in the watch-lists and public records, and then returns its response with a few questions.

Your response to these identity verification questions is sent to IDology for verification. The IDology service provider then calculates and returns the number of questions answered correctly. Based on this number, the system decides to mark the application as either approved or under-review.

While creating the questions, your information goes through the following checks:

• Identity verification based on personal information such as Social Security Number and Residence Address.
• Other types of public data.
• Scrutinizing your involvement in any fraudulent or terrorist activity.

IMPORTANT: For implementing the identity verification, a Financial Institution can replace IDology with any other third-party API of their choice. However, this requires an extra effort to configure a new integration.

verifyIDVResponse	This API verifies response of the applicant to the identity verification questions.
